Wikis are popular and allow students to create their own understanding of the curriculum. And most students prefer using technology as opposed to writing a paper. Glogster is fun for creating a poster over a certain topic to share with classmates. Twitter can be used to spark conversation. For example posting one word like poverty and have classmates brainstorm brief idea.
